I have been gaining weight steadily since having my children. I put my nutrition on the back burner to look after the family and continue my university study’s. With me being in my 30’s I’m finding it a bit more difficult to burn off the extra weight 😬 (I doesn’t help that I’m eating all the sweet treats 🙈).
I will be honest I have gained more weight since my mum passed away last October, I’ve been emotionally eating and trying to be the “strong” one for my family with my birthday just going by and also my eldest turning 5 years old I can say my emotions have got the better of me.
This is where I am now, I realise I need encouragement and support to lose weight because trying to do it alone sets me up to fail.
So this is some info about me so far.

hi de-bee, you've come to the right place to get support and encouragement. I came on the forum about 7 wks ago as struggling to get back on my healthy eating. everyone been great on here and I found the biggest help was to do a weekly weigh in. good luck with your weight loss
With me it is simply if it isn't in the house I can't eat it as if your children are young then you consider what is bought on the food shop .Sip a low cal hot choc drink whilst studying.Chop a few veg stocks up whilst you are prepping your tea to nibble on as I feel for me this was habit .I had to
eat .Anyone to mind the kids ....then you deserve night at Zumba or a swim .I go to 8pm class ...stops me eating .
Hi and welcome to the group. So sorry to hear about your loss. Yes part of the battle is understanding emotional triggers. I had 10days to myself and was doing well. As soon as my husband got back off holiday we started arguing and I found my head in the fridge looking for something to eat. I had to stop myself.
Good luck. I've been in this group for 2 weeks and find it immensely helpful emotionally as well as good advice.
