I love soup at lunch time and would normally dunk bread in it or have crackers. Anybody got any lower carb suggestions to pair with soup?

I'm a big soup fan, too, and it's definitely getting to be soup weather!
I don't have a bread alternative to suggest: maybe others will come up with something, or maybe it's a habit that you can break. I make substantial soups and 2 bowls does me for a meal without anything else.
Not sure if this is a help LentilBurgermot699

I've not tried it myself but think I might give it a go... there are various comments with suggested tweaks as well under the video
Wow that looks amazing. Thank you 😀
I had soup last night with a dry fried whisked up egg... Looks like a crêpe, sometimes I slice it up onto a salad.
It's on the right hand side of the salad. Just a whisked egg and a scrape of olive oil in your omelette pan takes about a minute each side. LentilBurgermot699
I suppose you could use it as a wrap and fill it with salad. It would be a good nourishing accompaniment. Thank you 😀
I'm the same as BridgeGirl, LB, I don't bother with bread or a substitute with soup, but I make this loaf regularly for my hubby sugarfreelondoner.com/low-c...
I eat low carb and have soup for dinner most weekday evenings in the winter. I don’t dip anything into it but I always top it with some twice baked crispy meat or fish for texture and protein.
I make massive batches of various types of low carb veg soup and roast various cuts of meat/fish that I buy whenever I see a big joint on sale. I then freeze the soup in individual portions and the meat in individual portions. I heat the soup on the hob and put the shredded meat in the oven till crispy. I also tend to add some fresh veg with also adds texture.
I love soup too especially in the cooler seasons. Not exactly an alternative to bread but I sometimes have a half round of sandwich with it, so a single thin slice of bread folded with a protein based filling. You can still dunk if you want to. Or a sanwich made of 2 crispbread such as grainy ryvitas -not sure if you would want to dunk that. If its homemade thick soup I don’t find I need the bread at all.
I would always go for whole meal
Sourdough or German rye bread but just now more that two slice the sour taste with the soup is awesome and I suffer from major acid reflux so sourdough causes me know issues 👍
A few nibbly bits on the side so - sticks of cucumber , carrot , unsalted nuts , cherry tomatoes , mixed pepper slices .
You could make soups with complete proteins or balanced proteins and carbs. For example soups including beans, vegetables and carbs like potatoes. Most casserole-type recipes found online, can be blended into a broth or soup by adding a bit more stock, and they are more filling x
