Hi and welcome, srishti007
We never advise that anyone diets. You need to find a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. I found following the low carb route worked best for me and here's some reading material for you. Follow this link to our chat thread and a list of all the activities we run. We've found active participation to be key to success, especially with our weigh-ins and Daily Diary.

Hi, srishti007 , Welcome.
What works for many members is a combination of the Low-Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet and Not Eating All Day aka Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
I eat whatever like but upto my calorie limit. You could call it a diet because of the counting? But I love what I eat and is a sustainable way of eating for me. Counting also makes you aware of what you are getting - is it worth blowing 800 calories on a pizza when you can fill up more on fish chips and peas for 600 calories? So it makes you choose wiser but still have choice (I still eat chocolate and crisps everyday).
However weight loss only really accelerated and became consistent when I added exercise. Can be any form of exercise even just brisk walking but the key is to keep on moving! I do around 10 hours per week of exercise and have lost over 5 stone now.
If you have tried both before I wonder if you were actually under your calorie allowance too much? As this can make your body go into starvation mode and hold onto weight? It's important to get the balance right! You shouldn't feel hungry if you are having the right amount of calories! The NHS BMI calculator is excellent for telling you the range to stick within.
