I have the flappy bat wings and the 'mommas apron' belly flap. Since I lost 4 stone (almost, 1lb to go) I'm wondering if and how that will ever go? Or is it something I will have to live with as I can't afford surgery to remove it. I will be 40 on Friday so I know skin elasticity is not as good at my age. I am doing strength exercises to 'add muscle tone' and all the other right things. My belly is softer and squishy since I lost weight but is a nuisance as it flaps and makes a clap noise if I am doing jumping exercises in my underwear in the morning!

Will loose skin really go?

Hi, CrimsonMama
I have lost over 3½ in less than a year, with little or no sign of loose skin. I will be 70 next month.
I scrub myself vigorously all over every time I have a bath - and I scrub my abdomen and upper arms most mornings.
I think that Intermittent Fasting, and autophagy, are supposed to help reduce and/or cure loose skin.
Micro-needling helps reduce loose skin - but I do not know how cost-effective it is.
Very interesting thank you. I am trying a cocoa butter firming lotion but I think I will have to accept that although my loose skin might shrink it will probably always remain, especially in my belly area.
I did do intermittent fasting for over a year and it remains a tool in my knowledge to use if needed again! But right now I feel more steady with a day to day calorie count.
