Hiya, planning on starting this weight loss plan for New Years but not sure if I’m going to stick to it. I know it’s all about self control.. but any motivational tips for me?!

My word, that's not the most optimistic of starts! No-one else can provide your motivation, that has to come from within. What are your reasons for losing weight? What do you have to gain? How would things be different for you? And are those reasons enough to make you want to change?

I agree with previous posts that no one can give you motivation, it comes from within.
What this forum offers is encouragement, support, a safe place to ask questions or to post details anout yourself that perhaps you’d not usually share such as weight bmi etc
Theres no judgement here and no disapproving looks only friendly people in similar boats
So the more you engage here the more you will benefit!
I agree with gman that theres lots of events / challenges to help keep you engaged and occupied - just keep having a look through the posts and familiarise yourself with the forum
For me, inplan my meals a week in advance & plan my shopping list around that, i prepare as much as i can in advance and also factor in snacks. I us My Fitness Pal to keep track of calories and post regularly in the daily diary post and once a week in the weigh in post
Its about making a couple small changes that you stick to and making them a good habit before tackilng something else.

Welcome Ddkr-101 ! Why not turn your opening statement on its head? You’re going to stick to it because...you want to be healthy, you want to be more active, you want to look better....the list goes on. Be your own motivation and we will support you. We’ve all been there, wondering if we can do it, if it’s worth it, everyone likes me as I am etc etc but deep inside we know what we want, which is the best motivation you can have. This forum is a great place to start, you will meet loads of people who will cheer you on (don’t get moreless started with her Pom poms!) Join in with the various challenges and the daily diary. You will soon get the hang of it.
