HI I've got about 3 stone to lose to get to a healthy weight, and ideally 5 stone to get back to my fit and slim self. I've been struggling with serious health issues the past few years which have caused weight gain and PTSD. I'm hoping my improved health and emotional well being will finally allow me to find my fit self again - I sure miss it!

Hi there usachickieboomuk and welcome.
Do you have a plan? For example, in terms of becoming more active - maybe something like making yourself go out for a short walk each day (30 mins) - whatever the weather? I love working in the garden (which is quite something for me as I have a physical disability...) - especially when the sky is blue I really enjoy it! It's like a complete mental break from everything else for me.
It's amazing how something like just going outside and taking in a bit of fresh air can clear away the cobwebs and get your lungs and heart working.
In terms of food - again, it's good to have a plan. You might want to join in the Daily Diary - even if just to read initially until you feel the time is right to share your plans for meals and exercise.
Somehow writing it all down for all to see helps to make me more accountable... to myself!
When I started my weight loss 6 years ago, I had 4.5 stone to lose.
I have a disability that I was born with (shortening of all four limbs as a result of the drug Thalidomide my mum took when pregnant with me). As a result my mobility is minimal - and was further reduced following a serious head on car crash in 2002 when I broke my ankle. I went on to have my ankle joint fused and am still in constant pain with it.
I started my weight loss journey at 14 stone - 5 and a half years ago. I am just 4ft 8” tall and so was classed clinically obese.
