Obesity and overweight are considered to be the 5th cause of death all over the world. In 2008, the number of overweight adults was 1.5 billion, of which 200 million of them were obese men and nearly 300 million were obese women.

Thanks for your reply. Actually I was obese for last couple of years, but recently lost 52 pounds. I am absolutely aware of the difficulty one usually face due to the excess weight. So, now, I try to spread awareness (as per my knowledge) regarding this problem. I read various articles and websites, and through this platform, I would like to share those vital information (stats and facts).

Thanks for the appreciation, I have already reached my healthy BMI and now I am focusing on building more of stamina and flexibility through running and yoga. And (needless to say) still keeping an eye on my diet. ;)
