Hi Tori9999999

Have a look in the Pinned post section as you will find like of posts on exercises to do and lots of menu ideas. The Daily Dairy in Events is also another place to get meal ideas from.

I found this post on exercise that might be helpful to you. Here's the link:

My doctor advised press-ups and sit-ups.

She can forget it!!! If diet, walking and ten minutes weights each day are not going to do it, then I will have to be satisfied.

What type of foods are your favs? What do you hate? Happy to share meal ideas....

A quick meal is lots of veg in a steamer, chicken breast in a steamer, and gravy.

I love a curry, especially prawn curry with steamed rice (I add peas/corn/peppers/carrots/broccoli/cauliflower when making rice)

Chilli bowl with salad on top and a 4-5crushed nachos and little grated cheese/low fat yoghurt

Enchiladas good too, hubby makes a great prawn noodles with veg.

Exercises....well before kids my thighs would thunder, after kids my thighs ok but jelly belly is hard to shift.....I’m doing boxing with dumbbells, planks/crunches....any exercise really but weights seem to make biggest impact I’m finding....everyone’s different tho.

Let me know if you find something that works-I’d try it!

I love chicken, tuna and basic stuff like that and veg but it gets so dull. I like egg too but omlettes are getting so boring and I think that’s what leads me to go off track.. because I’m sick of eating the same foods!! And I don’t know many that are good for me.

I also don’t know how to use weights. Like I know how they work but I don’t know how to incorporate them to help me lose weight.

Thank you:)

Though I’m not on slimming world the pinch of nom gives fab healthy meal ideas? I use on Facebook but website is useful. They do a lot of ‘fake away’ recipes so can make healthy kfc/pasties/one pot meals...might inspire you.

Again I’ve thought about subscribing to expensive workouts online but instead searched the net for free ‘30min dumbbells to lose weight’ and there’s loads of routines. I like 8fit app too. Lots just use body weight some use equipment. Worth a look.

As example-I just picked these off the net? See what you think

popsugar.co.uk/fitness/Week...

I try and get up 30mins early before work and go through these each wkdy-I feel a lot better. Some days I do a high intensity workout, sometime I box with dumbbells (not hitting anything!), sometimes I do dumbbells etc....don’t get me wrong, weight isn’t flying off but clothes fitting me again!

unfortunately you cannot spot reduce fat with either exercise or diet. Your belly and side fat will reduce as you reduce fat overall. HIIT exercise will help burn more calories. You can (and should) do exercises to strength your core muscles obliquesm abs etc, such as planks, leg raises, twists etc and these will make your stomach muscles look more defined once you have lost the fat but it is plain old calorie deficit and consistency and patience that will get them visible.

I just want to know if I’m doing things right. I’m not particularly looking for fast results I just want to know I’m on the right track. I’ve started doing more cardio everyday so 15 mins of running and 15 mins on a stationary bike. Does that help lose weight? And should I incorporate the core exercises aswell?

All exercise will help lose fat. Make sure you include a couple of rest days in your plan though - you risk burning out otherwise. Personally, I do cardio some days and strength training other days. And I have the weekend off! Try a few things out and see what feels right for you perhaps? There’s no one right way, so don’t worry.

Hi Tori9999999 as Rignold stated there isn't any specific but it mainly exercises that focuses on the core and abs- sit up, crunches and side crunches, planks and push up. If you go on NHS choices, Living well page there are exercise that you can follow which will help to tone your muscles, but as you loose weight some of it will go as well here is the link:
