After all that weight lost and told to cut out dairy and red meat. Had another blood test and came back iron levels to high. I must be doing something wrong I have porridge for breakfast with apro milk which has b12 in it for lunch soup and for tea chicken carrots peas fish and fruit so fed up

Did the Doctor give any indication of why your iron levels are too high? Did he say you were doing something wrong?

You're doing well Lynne, even though the results about the iron can be dismaying.
You've lost a good amount of weight and if that's all your doctors wanted you to do then you're on the right track.
From what you say you're eating, you also sound like you're on the right track to reduce the amount of iron but as Anna has pointed out, you need to carry on working with your GP.
Don't be disheartened, you've made good progress.
