I have been dieting since Tuesday and I have lost 2 1b, so happy,. I did eat two rich tea biscuits early evening yesterday, but telling myself no more or you are wasting your time trying to lose weight. I find ground almonds fairly filling, one tip I read on the internet I find good is, eat two teaspoons of ground almonds then drink a bit of water and have two more teaspoons of ground almonds again then a bit more water, it is surprising how it actually satisfies your hunger problems for a while. I am just hoping that I keep up the good work, it isn't easy but if I start thinking about wanting say a cake or something, I imagine in my head that there is a big cross on it and my belly getting bigger if I did eat one, lol.

Thank you so much, I just hope that I can. I am eating slowwwwwly too., which I think helps too.
Yes ,I eat fast ,perhaps I might try to eat slower.
You will be fine ,amazing support on here.
Gary
Hi, yes I read slow is good, I take twice as long eating now, it's surprising how it feels you up more, one of my children even commented on me today, "how long does it take to eat a sandwich? " funny though.
I think quick eating seems from my childhood.even I didn't eat it quick enough my sister's would take it .that's my excuse lol.just eaten a gingerbread man so I'm going out for a run .
Gary
Hi, yes it's funny, as when I was a child, you were told by your parents to eat everything on your plate, as you can't waste food, which fine but the portions were quite sizable, my mum used to make nice cake as well, I mean so nice that 2 slices was typical for me, lol. Hope you enjoyed your gingerbread man, happy running, just like the gingerbread man did. lol Have a great weekend.
I think when we had cake it was on a Sunday ,batternberg or sponge .
Think the gingerbread man ran quicker than me ..
Have a nice weekend to.
Gary
Cake everyday for me I;m afraid. it's seems you will have to teach that gingerbread man a lesson or two, lol
Hello Hidden and well done on making such a good start to,your weight loss journey 😊
I'm glad you have found a way to satisfy your hunger, but remember ground almonds are quite calorific 😕 For the same calories you could have a boiled egg, or some whole nuts with an apple, or even more depending upon how big the teaspoons were, (ground almonds 189 calories for 30g)
Have a look at the Newbie Club in the link moreless gave you, it's going to be great fun!
Hi, thanks, I must admit I feel quite chuffed with myself. I only do the ground almonds once a day, as I read they do have a fair few calories in them, walnuts and apple sound good, I will get some walnuts and try them too, thanks for the tip.
Any whole nuts are good, and you can make 100 calories last quite a long time with all the crunching!! Lol 😂
Hi, I will try that too, I will be so nutty, lol I do like nuts though, thanks.
Great visual imagery to keep you away from the stuff you don't really want to eat. Well done for finding a strategy that works.
Hi, thank you, I hope I can keep doing this, not a pretty sight though. lol
thanks for sharing the ground almonds tip and well done on losing two pounds!!
Thank you, the grounds almonds work well for me
Hi there
Good on you keep it up, for myself I have stuck, I would be interested to know how many calories daily you have set yourself.
That's great to hear. Always nice to find little tricks that make losing weight a little easier. Good luck, and well done.
Thank you
Well done you've got off to a great start and thanks for the tips....
Thank you
Fantastic! Every tiny bit of loss is weight lost, so 2lb is fabulous! It's just so worth it! Good luck!
Thank you
Well done, 2lbs. I would celebrate if I lost half a pound. Great going.
Hi, thanks, yes I am really pleased, would like to think that I will lose more by Monday, trouble is, we will be having the usual Sunday roast tomorrow, do I have a roast potato? perhaps just the one. Not easy going without one on my plate. Take care. Carole
