So a huge thumbs up to the NHS for instigating it and also the many members on here for hints and tips on how to succeed.

Thank you very much,I have heard it does tend to get harder after the first 3 weeks,so I reckon I'm now in for a long haul!!!!
I think it gets very hard around 7 week mark. After that you get used to healthier eating a bit if you've had some success. I've also heard that most people get very tired of it after about 2 weeks, so you're doing very well. Keeeeeeep going with the process !
Many Congratulations on your 7lb weight loss - I wondered if you'd like to have a '7lb Weight loss badge' to mark that occasion? Either myself or moreless would be happy to award you one, so just let either of us know, and it will be yours!!!
Glad you're enjoying the forum, and you're doing brilliantly! Well done!
Well done that's brilliant. Keep up the good work. I signed up on here about 6 or 7 months ago but hav'nt done anything only gain more weight so I have decided to have time for me each day and get ALL this weight off. so a new beginning today good luck with the rest of your journey x x
Thank you-and I wish you all the best in restarting....
I have battled with my weight for many years and yo yo dieted, joined weight classes etc, but as soon as I lost a bit I seemed to lose interest and got fed up paying so much basically just to be weighed !! I know it works for a lot of people but I am afraid it wasn't for me.i feel this is SO much better,as it installs a much healthier way to ( all going well ) lose weight.
And I think everyone on here has a brilliant tip or two on what works for them. For me I work part time and I finish work early come home ,walk my dog then used to pick at food during the afternoon, and I always had a bag of crisps with my sandwich, and then I would find I still felt hungry and then I really hate to admit it as I have NEVER said this to anyone before as I have been too embarrassed but eaten ANOTHER packet of crisps and then thought sod it I will have something else and would then raid the fridge as I felt disgusted and guilty but for some stupid reason then I would eat anything that I fancied which was usually rubbish,!!!
So on starting this healthy eating,I have not bought any crisps ( that I like),my teenage son has them in his lunchbox so the ones I have bought are only for him,as if there not are ones in the house that I like I will not be tempted.
And the other major difference is I have bought myself a lunchbox and every evening I weigh out and make my sandwich and also put in it two bits of fruit( pre weighed), then when I get home after my dog walk I make my self a cup of tea and get my lunchbox out and eat my lunch, and touch wood it seems to have worked so far!!!
I wish you all the best on your journey ,I am three weeks into mine and feel at last I am making little steps foreword to a healthier ( and happier) me,so good luck to both(and all) of us !!
What you have written sounds very much like me but I hav'nt brought crisps for years as I don't trust myself when they are in the house. I have a long road with a BIG weight loss I'm not the only one on here with that problem so I will deal with it in my way. but good luck on the rest of your journey x
Thank you,my loss seems very small when I am looking at what weight you have lost,-have any of you reached your target weights yet and if you have is that the weight that the weightloss guide says or have you reached it when you feel at your most comfortable, but not what they say you should be?-sorry if that all sounds gobbledygook!!
Everyone has their own goals but for me, my ideal weight is that at which I feel comfortable and content because I know that striving for the "perfect " weight would only make me miserable. With the support of this forum I now have only1.75ib to lose till I reach that point. Good luck with your own goalsπ
What a great start 7 pounds in three weeks is really good going. Plus out of the 11s into the 10s - lots of positives for three weeks. I like your lunchbox idea
Amazing new principles you have added to cope with your diet. Or your own new tricks some we all could learn from. Fantastic weight drop you have your goals this time I think you see the light of day. Plus all the support you have around, keep up the fine work sons love the results.
Thank you -yes brilliant support on here for and from everyone
That is fantastic. Very well done. I agree that this is a brilliant initiative. It's very straightforward and so easy to make fit with one's life. I am only on day 3(!) but it just all feels like very 'normal' eating
