Hi all thought I would post need some motivation. I lost 5 stone on a shake plan when I met my now husband but have put it all back on being 16 stone now I need to do something my weight is effecting my health I have ibs I am always tired even going up a flight of stairs makes me out of breath. I need my life back good luck to you all. This is the first time I am trying healthy eating and not a fad diet 😬

Being on a healthy eating plan is way much better. Even in the weeks that you don't loose weight you will feel good because not only are your conscience at rest your whole body will thank you for your healthier choices.

Welcome to the weight loss forum.
Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.
Have a look at the Daily Diary which you can find on the Home page in Events. It is where all the members are sharing their daily plans on what they are eating and any exercise they are doing. This thread will give you some ideas on how to start.
Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.
Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.
We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us today. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.
To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.

I did a diet like that and it messed up my metabolism. I lost 4 stone very quickly 23 years ago. I now weigh 2 stone more than when I started it. Have joined the gym to up my metabolism, as it naturally slows with age. Am looking at a complete lifestyle change or I'm never going to be healthy. Good luck, you'll do well

How was the gym? I can still walk after legs bums and tums tonight which is more than I could do last week!
I don't enjoy the gym at all lol I force myself to go glad when I have done it though!! Anxiety is acting up today though so don't know how motivated I will be tonight xx
You can go to the gym and it will help you with the anxiety too

I have terrible anxiety, but I'm finding going to the gym is helping a lot. Now I've got past the terror of joining!
