I am about 2.5 stone overweight according to the NHS BMI stuff [ which I don't agree with .. I guess 1.5 will be super if the shape is good too, I think I would look too gaunt if I lost so much. } Anyhoo we all agree I need to lose a stone and a half,,, and then let's evaluate. I was doing so well and losing small but regular weight ..then... I went on an all inclusive holiday in the Canaries.[ just don't ... ever !] I thought I was being parsimonious and skipped the pastries at brekkie etc. When I got home I find I have put the best part of a stone on. I am so disappointed after all that hard work. Now it is Feb and I'm not for going out walks or doing much at all re activity ,so I need a lot of inspiration from you guys to get into the groove again. 'Right back to ya '

After Christmas regrets
The best thing is that you are here and have the desire to lose the weight you have put on! You have put in the hard work before and now it's time to do it again. This time you need to think of ways to stop yourself from spiraling out of control. You know you need to increase your activity to help with weight loss so try and find something that you enjoy which you can do a few times a week and don't forget to mix it up! I wish you the best of luck
Hello Hidden and welcome to the weight loss forum ☺
You are not the only one who gained weight over Christmas! !! But if you get back to it you will soon lose the weight again ☺ If you are struggling to get back on the wagon the January Amnesty may help ☺ it's in the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread first and move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you ☺
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news ☺
Have a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as many people have had success with it. Also use the BMI checker to find your target calories, it's important to eat enough. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate ☺
The forum also have group weigh-ins every day, but they are quite busy. If you wish to take part Sunday is the quietest day but you are welcome to join any day. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the 'home' page, or at the very bottom (after all the posts) on a mobile.☺
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too ☺
You'll notice a grey box next to people's names, these are achievement badges, and as a new member you may have a 'Newbie' badge. If you have any questions or would like a Newbie badge please just ask ☺
Best wishes
Anna

Hi Midnight Dancer Set small goals, track your intake and try some house based exercise. It's all about putting less in and getting more out. You can do this so let's both aim to lose at least 2 pounds for the next 4 weeks. Up for it?

I am sure you enjoyed every moment and were so happy to have trimmed your weight beforehand to make the most of your nice summer clothes. So you know how good it feels. You have done it before, and you know you can do it again. We are all with you every half pound of the way!
