Yoga Program

Hi All,

I practiced yoga a few years ago after the birth of my daughter and loved my classes, however the teacher moved on elsewhere and I had to go back to work and couldn't find a class to fit in with this. 2 years later, here I am after baby no.2 looking and feeling 'meh'. Tempted to buy Yoga Burn online, last oks really good and reasonably priced, the website looks a bit dodgy, I'm not too sure of it looks genuine, am I being too cynical or is it a scam?

Has anyone had any experience of this? I'd like to lose weight from my body, not my bank balance!

Hi there. Well my advice is weight loss is mostly brought about by calorie reduction. You can't outrun a bad diet, as they say! So think about calorie reduction and portion control if your main motivation is to lose weight.

But of course exercise is good for us too. However, I would join a class, if I were you. It's not easy to motivate yourself to do a video class regularly, but if you join one, having to go every week will help keep you on track and motivated. 👍

Hi there,

I have not heard of yoga burn, but if you're looking for a reliable and professional yoga website, I can recommend Ekhartyoga.com.

I have no affiliation with the site / app, but Esther Ekhart is my former yoga teacher. She, and the other tutors on the website, are excellent. She has some free videos on her site, and she has a youtube channel too, so you can see if her teaching style suits you before paying any money. I think the first month's subscription is only €1.

I used to do 2 classes a week with Esther and was really getting a lot of benefit from it. I really missed yoga when she mived to the Netherlands. The website isn't as good as being in a class, but it's really convenient to be able to fit in yoga sessions when it suits.

Good luck!

Hi Glitter, I found yoga classes, and got the confidence to go class for several months, bought my mat, and a small book with photographs and instruction re postures, and now I'm happy to practice at home, and try to do at least 20 mins a day, primarily to strengthen all my muscles., plus it makes me feel good.Good luck
