Well another grotty weather week! I didn't do very well!! NO proper walk again.
Steps from Tuesday 19th- Tuesday 26th Feb had daily average of 8,568. This includes two low days and only made it up with a bit extra waking round Wakefield for the rhubarb festival (we live in the Rhubarb triangle π) we got wet and cold! but it was interesting listening to Rhubarb grow! Then today, we dived out when the sun came out and took a short walk, saw some blossom and buds on trees in the sun, felt better...... then it started to hail, got wet and cold again! ran for cover in local cafe and was talked in to a pancake. Our cat, Gemma, was snuggled down, warm, when we got home. I think she had the right idea!! ..... sun out again now .... not fooling me this time!! π

I used to grow rhubarb, but I could never hear it above the racket the other plants were making! Is the band part of the rhubarb festival or something else altogether?
Morris dancers, part of the festival. My grandson said he didn't want to be a morris dancer, but fancied the noisy wooden clogs with bells on π€¦ββοΈ
Yeah, they were in a 'mocked up' forcing shed in the old market. Coincidental, the rather short walk we had yesterday took us past a Rhubarb field, I think it is the first one I have ever seen, That was not really very far on. You can force it yourself, just stick a bucket on it for a while. It is a odd plant! Grows like mad on cold dark wet places ... should be a bumper crop this year then! π
you must be wakefield, leeds castleford way then if in triangle. great pics. ive heard that you can hear the rhubarb grow its in complete darkness. hope weather improves im fed up of the wind!!!
Yeah, it makes a weird clicking noise. I thought it squeak. Rhys tried to explain it to his mum when we took him home, He said 'it makes a noise like when I am trying to get Chemie (their cat) to come to me' π
