Not feeling very hungry !!
If you don't eat enough, why would you put on weight? I am confused.
Don't really get that, unless you are using up your calorie allowance for chocs and cake? Give us an idea of what you eat during a typical day, and we will try and help.
I'm assuming you're worrying because of how often people say "u won't lose weight if you don't eat enough"? I think it's more a case that a)not eating enough can send your body into 'starvartion mode' and b)you won't lose weight healthily if you don't give your body the nutrients and fuels it needs.
You're unlikely, I feel, to GAIN if you don't eat enough. But I wonder if this is where your worry is stemming from? It is important to eat enough and to eat the right things. Maybe some information on how many calories/what meals you're having would help people advise on what else you could eat or if you need to?
Thank you for your posts a typical day for me would be b/f weetabix 3 with semi milk , L 2 wraps with smoked ham and boiled egg with mixed leaves , finger off fudge , Dinner broccoli , sprouts, sweetcorn , brown rice , frying steak , Supper coffee and 2 biscuits ! That sort off a normal day for me , I may have some cucumber to eat if hungry after b/f π
That sounds like a good variety of food. maybe have a piece of fruit with breakfast and one less weetabix if you can't manage both?
Do you know roughly how many calories you're having on a typical day? as it doesn't sound that low but depends on your portion sizes!
Some cubes of cheese or swapping to full fat milk or yoghurts with breakfast is an easy way to increase calories without having to eat a massive amount of snacks or over do your portions
I'm not an expert but it sounds good to me!
Thanks for that Kinbun I don't eat yoghurt or cheese. I'm not very good with dairy my calorie intake can range btwn 1600 /1500 when I worked out my bmi on here it says I should be having btwn 1600/2030 so I was trying to stay on around 1800 as I did last week and lost 2lbs this but I think I may add some more fruit π
What about different nuts? These are high calories and healthy fats
1600/1500 calories isn't the end of the world. I'd say if you can manage on that amount you'll probably be fine 1400 is the baseline. I think it's not great to go under that. So don't panic
At the end of the day things work differently for different people. If you aren't hungry with what ur eating, and you still lose weight, then don't worry about forcing yourself to eat more. If your weight loss suddenly stops, you know you need to make a few changes
Ok that sounds good to me ππ
I admit throughout my weightloss journey I rarely had trouble eating enough (!) . But on the odd day that I needed extra , I'd bump up my calories by 100 or so, and add some calcium/protein benefits, by having a whey protein drink ( choc flavour) or adding double cream to my coffee, or a good spoonful of peanut butter just on its own as a snack or with an oatcake. I found it stopped me reaching for sweet stuff.
