Hello there! It just so happened that at the same time I was writing about my 1 year binge-free anniversary. I owe everything to this book "Brain Over Binge" which taught me how to recognise "animalistic" urges from conscious thoughts. It sounds confusing but the book explains it very well and it makes sense. I recommend it to everyone with binge-eating problem.

Personally I had been binge-eating for over 10 years and this book saved me.

Whether you try it or choose to do something else, I wish you all the best. Binge-eating is a physically and mentally draining problem and I'm sure you can beat it. If I could do it, anyone can.

P.s. if you're ever in need for an advice or a friendly person who knows what you are going through, you know where to find me ;)

Hi kellyanne

I have been re training my unhelpful eating patterns and now have an array of activities I pick up whenever I get the urge. I keep a reading book, ds, iPod, iPad, and a bottle of water by my side at all times. When the urge comes upon me I reach for an activity and drink some water. I can honestly say it has reduced my sabotaging behaviour. I have also discovered that watching tv at night is a trigger so I am reducing my nightly intake of tv. I record it and watch it on a day time when my resolve is much stronger. Good luck, try and see if you have any patterns and let me know if you find any activities that help you😊😊

I've swaped my cake and crisps for celery and carrot sticks, tiny tomatoes and rings of cucumber. Come on, you know you want to.

Hello there ...... night time can be a 'nightmare' for me too ....... danger time for me is when I'm watching tv and start to feel sleepy .......... that's when the bingeing behaviour really wants to be given its head 😡 I go to bed !!!! (before the monster gets out of the cage ) It's as simple as that ..... learn your danger or trigger points, anticipate and maybe even plan for them, write them down if it helps and doing something with your hands and/or brain, puzzles, cross words, knitting........ something to divert your mind....... you're not on your own my love, I know it's hard, and it gets lonely at times just struggling on and on, but what is the alternative ???? Stick at it with all you've got, you can do this !
