Hi everyone, I've just downloaded the 12 week plan after failing to do my own plans well, I thought something you could actually write on and follow the guidelines would be more motivational than what's in my head! Looking forward to joining in, and hoping I can get to grips with the message/posting system asap!

Well done on your first post!

Great that you are doing the 12 week plan. It really works if you stick to your calorie limit. Try downloading the free myfitnesspal ap too as that will do all the work of counting calories for you.

There is a weigh in on Mondays - just have a look at the pinned posts on the right hand side for details of that.

Thank you :) I've heard of that app so I'll give it a go :) Looking forward to the weigh-ins...That will be good motivation :)

Hi and welcome!

I too am a newbie, joined last week, and can't even begin to tell you how much better I feel about my weight loss/journey to health already. I've got between five and six stone to lose, and have had some great advice and support already. It's a fantastic forum and everyone here is in a similar boat.

Did my first Monday weigh in yesterday, looking forward to seeing you over there when you feel ready!

Take a look at the Pinned Posts section, to the right of your screen (bottom, if you're using a mobile) and have a look at the Welcome Newbies thread.

Look at the Topics section beneath that, for posts that could answer any questions you may have. Consider joining any, or all, of our challenges, as they're fun and motivating.

Join us for the Monday Group weigh-in. If you follow Zest and myself, you'll be notified when we post the threads. The latest weigh-in thread can always be found in the Events section, to the right (bottom) of the home page.

Be active on the forum, as that's where we exchange ideas and get our daily dose of motivation and inspiration and don't be afraid to ask for assistance, if you need it :)
