Hi all, I downloaded this plan today as a desperate chance of losing weight. I have tried most other diets and find it really hard as I have huge issues with emotional eating. I am getting married in 3 months and I'm the heaviest I have ever been. I bought my wedding ring 6 months ago and I tried it on this morning and it didn't fit, gutted to say the least. Does anyone have any advice on how to succeed with the emotional eating. Thanks in advance. Liane

I don't know how much weight you need to lose, but don't despair, I lost 2st in 3 months, so you could get that ring to fit again :)

Wishing you all the best :)

Hi newbie like you I was an emotional eater but weeks on the plan has cured me. My tip would be to have healthy snacks available and don't deny yourself a treat. When you feel you want to eat unnecessarily find something to do....my cupboard are they tidiest that have ever been lol! Good luck and think about how stunning you will be in the wedding photos 👍

Planning a wedding and life with your partner is a bit of a roller coaster.  No wonder you snap occasionally and treat yourself.  When you are planning what to eat, I suggest you make room in your daily allowance for a treat at the end of each day.  And you have it whatever has happened in the rest of the day.  Make it a non-negotiable meal, so that you always have something to look forward to.  This might help you stick to your planned eating for the rest of the day.  Knowing that you have your treat might make you feel less "diety".  Also don't let worry about the wedding day mean that you starve yourself.  Actually have the amounts of kcal suggested.  Most of us find we do better if we eat just the right amount, with better losses overall than starving and bingeing.  See how your ring finger is after your first month.  Then you would still have time to get your ring altered if you needed to before the ceremony.  Good luck with your first week of planned eating.

I had to quickly lose 3 stone for my wedding. I'm an emotional eater too and after buying my wedding dress and ring my mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Yay! So I ate EVERYTHING. I was trying so desperately to fill the void I could feel opening up. Gained 3 stone in under a month (I really was putting it away....)

I still struggle but I try to make a conscious effort whilst eating for emotional reasons to ask myself "is this really helping?"..... Doesn't always work, sometimes nothing will wrestle the biscuits out of my now fat hands, but sometimes it helps

Always here if you want to PM me for a chat, Claire xx

Hi Claire, thank you very much for your message. I'm sorry to hear about your mum but congratulations on your wedding. I will definitely try asking myself that question before I pick up the food and thanks for the kind offer of pm. Liane xxx
