I am four weeks into the programme and I am seeing results. However, I am struggling with my cravings!! I like sugary stuff especially when I am tired. Any tips on how to beat my cravings?

Cravings
Banana, blueberries and Skyr yoghurt - yum! Slice of melon - yum! If all else fails, a 2 finger kit kat!
Save contingency calories for your snack eg a funsize chocky bar. This isn't dieting it is long term lifestyle management. If you allow for it you will not resent this eating plan and you will be successful.
One thing you could try is to postpone the decision as to whether to give in to the craving for 5 or 10 minutes. Tell yourself you'll wait a bit before indulging, then go and do something else absorbing, so that you have a chance to think again. This can help the wish to eat pass away, and if it doesn't you can always keep postponing!
The other idea I can suggest is to ask yourself "will this food move me closer to my goal or further away?", which might help you pause and think about your long term aim rather than the immediate wish for a tasty treat. This one might not work for very emotional eaters, but it's always worth trying.
I have cravings after meal for pudding or anything sweet. Mostly I eat dates, little honey, or any sweet fruits available e.g.melon,water melon, soft pear etc.
Hi Oritse
Cravings are normally a sign that your body is lacking in something. Normally micro nutrients or certain vitamins. If you can find out what you are lacking then the craving will go away. You are only craving sweet things as that is what you turn to during the craving feeling.
The body is an amazing tool and often knows what it needs. It is up to us to decipher that message but unfortunately the signal isn't in a language we understand so we end up reading the signal wrong and eating more of the wrong things.
Good luck
Gary
Thanks Gary never thought about that before. Try and make some changes to my food plan
