Hi everyone, my Friday weigh in will continue from September but thought I would clock in and say hello. Despite trying to keep up the exercise and healthy eating it's not been easy. It's not been a great year with my mum's cancer diagnosis in the spring but having had a lovely holiday this summer, we came back to a very poorly dog. Our dog was the reason for my weight loss journey in the first place. To help pay for him we decided to give up alcohol in the week and the walking increased greatly which also induced healthy eating and a 3 stone loss. Chesil is on the mend although still critical however the thought of walking anywhere without him just seems wrong. He is in a specialist doggy hospital at the moment but hoping to get him back soon. The exercise and healthy eating will become more the norm again. Forgive me though at the moment for my slipping off the wagon so to speak. I hope everyone else's Summer is going well. Look forward to catching up again in September ☺
Happy midsummer ☺: Hi everyone, my... - Weight Loss Support
Happy midsummer ☺
Hi Juliet,
Lovely to hear from you but so sorry to hear about Chesil, happy to hear is on the mend😃 Animals take our hearts don't they 🐾🐾 I still miss my old boy every day and I'm sure that's one of the reasons I'm struggling.
Give yourself time and it will come right, you have had so much to deal with this year and sometimes a bit of a breather is the right way to go😃
Just think of the lovely autum that is just round the corner for you all !

Hi Flossie thank you. Yes it's been a bad old year so hoping Autumn will be better. It's very strange without Chesil at home and I can't do my walks without him. Just all seems wrong. Today though was the first day we felt he may survive so feeling more positive. I would always have a dog now. I hope your summer is going better. ☺
Keeping everything crossed Chesil continues to improve daily, the house will seem so empty. Thinking of you .
😇
So sorry to hear about poor Chesil Juliet, I'm not surprised your routine is all to pot. Take your time getting back into the swing of things and focus your attention on your canine friend
Sending healing vibes
Thank you ☺
Oh my goodness Hidden you really are having a tough year so far 🤔
Glad your still thinking about yourself and your journey with all you have going on as you need to look after yourself and get ready for when Chesil comes home 🐶👍
My choc lab was critically ill a few months ago with a blocked stomach and then with in 24 hrs of surgery a twisted stomach!! So 2 major ops one after another. Hes fine now but i know how horrible it is and how helpless you feel. Let us know when chesil comes home x
I hope your mums doing ok too?
Take care and good luck in the autumn when you return 😀💗

Your situation sounds familiar to mine. Chesil had major op to remove blockage. Unfortunately this all happened as soon as we got home from holiday. He then got pneumonia so it was very serious. Hoping he is out of the woods now ☺
Im so glad chesils on the mend 🐶 was a teally tough few days for us, touch and go at one point but hes full of beans now. Hope chesil will be too soon 😀
