Headache
I had this too - I asked on the forum and received very helpful advice.... you get used to it! No, not really, it gets easier. My first week I suffered "wobbles" i.e., I felt as if I hadn't eaten enough (I too am eating around 1200 cals). Someone gave me the brilliant advice of - take a banana with you! I do that all the time now, but in the last few days of my first week, and this, my second week, I don't need to eat it. I am now finding excuses to go out for a walk! Keep at it..... oh, and dehydration - headache's are a sign of that. Take water with you too.
This is my first week also and There have been moments when I haven't felt too good, It's going to take a lot of will power today to do my walk. Its talking to you lovely people that's helping me to keep on track. I will be keeping a banana with me and a bottle of water. thanks for that.
Hi Ashali1,
Great to hear you've started healthy eating and that you're hoping to lose weight through diet and exercise. I hope you're enjoying your 30 min walks - I think walking is such great exercise.
I hope that your mild headache will stop soon - are you drinking sufficient water? Being de-hydrated can cause a headache sometimes. I'm also wondering if you've checked your daily calorie requirement - there is an excellent calculator attached to the NHS Choices website, for use with the NHS 12 week plan, and a link is here if you want to double check what your recommended calorie range would be for the plan:
nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Healthyw...
It takes into account your daily activity levels, as well as your current weight, height etc, and providing you eat within the calorie range recommended you should lose weight at a safe and healthy rate.
Worth a check, to make sure you're eating sufficient calories for your daily needs. I hope you don't mind my suggesting that to you, but 1200 calories daily sounds a little low to me.

If you have changed you diet a lot or cut back a lot on carbohydrates, this could also give you a headache. As Lowcal has said, 1200 calories may be too low for you.
Hi there, welcome to the forum and good luck.
I'm no expert, but I too am eating around 1200 kcal a day, and I do find I'm never hungry. It looks punishing but from the NHS print out I have (obviously read in conjunction with my BMI calculation) it does recommend 280cals for breakfast, 420cals for lunch and 420cals for dinner Plus 280cals for other food and drinks. Into my second week and honestly stick like glue to this and have no hunger pangs. So conflicting information... but if it made me unwell, I would increase my cals.
My answer is to drink water, try to have 500ml of water 4 to 5 times a day and eat 5/6 smaller meals a day Small breakfast, mid morning snack, light lunch, mid afternoon snack and small dinner. Also immediately following any exercise have a small protein snack. I am also doing around 1200/1300 calories a day and the food plan is what I have been given by my trainer
Thank you all for your suggestions.. with some minor modifications i pvercome the headache issue or maybe my body is adapted to changing lifestyle... but still my legs hurt alot while running so I just doing brisk walk 😔
