I seem to lose weight and then the next week it goes back on. So disheartening. Anyone got any tips to keep losing and not gaining it?

Fluctuating weight
This is my problem too.Let's hope someone out there can give us the answer.
I was having a similar problem the nurse at my GP surgery gave me some really good advice about how I was eating. In short she told me to avoid breaded and battered fish and meat eat no more than 2 slices of bread and have them before 2pm only eat fruit before 2pm keep potato products to small amounts and basically follow a meal set that is recommended for people with diabetes and high cholesterol. I'm on week 5 of following what she said and the first two weeks I saw drastic weight loss the last three weeks I have steadily lost 2lb a week.
Hi ractrac01 😀
Sorry to hear your not having a steady loss, 1-2lb a week is ideal.
Sometimes your body needs a bit of a push in the right directions. Try something new? New exercise? New food?
Are you following the nhs12wk plan? If you are carry on following it as it really helped me.
Make sure you log all your calories. Write everything that goes in your mouth down or log it on myfitnesspal.
Weighing your food is important to control your portions.
Are you eating enough? If your not eating within your lower and upper calorie allowance your body goes into starvation mode and stores your fat!!
I wouldn't worry too much our bodies are sometimes stubborn and don't like change.
Make the most from this forum as it is really helpful and motivational. Join in with some challenges and the weigh in on a Monday. It really helps and keeps you motivated.
Hope this helps a little, carry on your doing so well already 👍
Good luck xx
Thank you for your reply. I probably need to exercise a bit more. I am following the 12 week plan, it's very good.
