So yesterday I had a takeaway, I planned for it, counted it, thoroughly enjoyed it and regret nothing! I was however curious to see the effect one meal can have. On Friday evening I was 22st 2lbs, yesterday morning I was 22st, last night I was 22st 6lbs and this morning I'm 22st 1 lb. Months ago I started regularly weighing myself to observe how my own weight fluctuations I am so glad I did. If I hadn't taught myself how erratic my own body can be that 22st 6lbs last night would have devastated me. But all was well the next morning π
This concludes just 1 tale of the fluctuating weight ....... to be continued

I think that is why it is so important to stick to a weekly weigh in as you could drive yourself crazy with the daily ups and down that our bodies do. Weight loss is hard enough without riding a rollercoaster of emotions everyday on the scales.

I used to be a strict 1 WI a week person, but I've done a 180 degree turn. It now helps me to keep an eye on my weight throughout the week. Its not for everyone, like I say I never used to do it π
It's a personal thing but I'm with you, IamwhatIam. Seeing the daily fluctuations can be off-putting for some but, for me, it's reassuring that they are normal. It isn't a roller coaster of emotions once you know it's normal. Weighing weekly, you could just hit a particular high or low on that day and be misled by that. Of course, the important thing is the overall trend.
I love this story. Right or wrong I weigh most days, like you say, if I was weekly and Iβd put on 6lb I would be really upset. Sometimes if I forget to take my diuretics I put on 2-3lb.
