Hello and welcome, what is the implant ?

It’s a contraceptive which is implanted into your upper arm, it lasts 3 years I think! X

Me too!!! The implant is a pain, I had it for 6 years and I was a normal weight then but I put on 3/4 of a stone silently because of it. Then I had it removed and had my little one and have ended up 4.5 stone worse off!! 😂😂😂😂😂

Well I can relate to that! I put on 4 stone with first baby, lost 2 stone and then put on 4 stone with second one... so was then 6 stone over weight! 😳 at beginning of this year I was the weight I was full term with my first one!

So it’s all going this year! I’ve lost 1.1stone in 4 weeks! So we definitely have this! Good luck on your journey Fattysquirrel!! X

Thank you crochet19, and good luck to you too you are doing so well!! Motherhood is a toughy!!! But at the moment I think my 15, 13 and 11 year olds are way too much hard work 😓 mentally!!😂 And running around trying to change my little 3 yr old into his Jim jams seems a doddle!!!!

How long have you been "not losing weight"?

If you were able to lose weight... that would tend to indicate that you do not have metabolic/insulin problems.

I found that I could lose about an extra pound a week when I walked 50km a week... I was about seventeen stone then, and it would be proportionally less for smaller people: how far do you walk in a week?

I used to have the implant and I used to find that I gained a lot of weight in the months after it was changed over and then I would settle down again and it would gradually come off over the rest of the 3 year period. I had a noticeable increase in appetite around this time. This was one of the reasons I eventually asked for it to be removed. I also developed PCOS symptoms, which were unpleasant, so I'm back on the combined pill now.

How many steps does your fitbit record on a daily basis?
