Yep, I'm one of those crazy people you read about in magazines who spends hours entering competitions each day...so I quite regularly get prizes. But this one is a goody...
Its from the Sponge cake company and its a Millionaire's Cake. Vanilla and chocolate sponges with toffee buttercream. Skipped breakfast and lunch so I could have a very large slice and wow was it good! Now I just need to find the willpower to leave it alone...
On a positive note, I just booked my holiday in August to see my friends who I haven't seen since I was 15 stone. I'm just under 12 stone now. They live in Newcastle and I live in the north of Scotland so we are having 5 days sort of in the middle, in Aviemore. Going to take them to all the touristy places I love...but also, we are going to climb Cairngorm Mountain and I am going to take a photo of skinny me at the summit π I REALLY want to reach 11 stone by 22nd August. Wish me luck!

You can do it Osiris275 and looking forward to seeing a picture of the acomplished climb on the top of the Cairngorm summit with a skinny Minnie thereππ. I have just been good and had poached fish with veg for tea but I am glad that cake isn't in my house it would be just too tempting.π°
Congrats on the yummy prize Osiris275. You must be so determined to just have one slice and I am sure you will reach your goal by the end of August. After losing 3-4 stone you will by skipping up that mountain and leaving the rest of your party lagging behind!
Wishing you luck for your goal to reach 11 stone by 22nd August Osiris275. You obviously don't lack any luck on the competition winning front, although I have to say I am so glad I'm not nearby to where you live - otherwise I'd be knocking on your door for some of that cake, and I am making sure I stay clear of sugary treats currently. Will it freeze so you don't have too much temptation, or do you think you'll be ok?
Your friends will be really amazed by your transformation when they see you in August.
Wow π that cake looks yummy. Well done on having only one slice. Maybe you could freeze it in small pieces and have as a reward when you hit your mini goals π°
Your friends are going to be so happy for you when you show them the new lighter you ... don't put too much pressure to get down to 11stone you've done so well already.
Thanks all! So I have to lose at least 2lbs each week to reach my goal. I KNOW I could do it, if I really behave myself and remember the word NO. Whether I will manage is an entirely different matter.
It might be a bit easier because for the whole of July I have an extra 2 dogs to walk. I walk my three together for an hour twice a day. Ill be walking the other 2 for an hour in the afternoons. So that's extra steps
Wow Osiris! That cake definitely looks good enough to eat!
So many things to look forward to! Will you be doing a guided walk up cairngorm and will you walk down, or take the funicular?
Your friend is going to be amazed at the change in you and I can fully understand your desire to be 11st by Aug 22nd. What a huge milestone that will be!
I shall keep everything crossed for you making your goal, but I think you'd better do something with that cake..........just in case!
Can't wait to see the pic of you at the top of the mountain. I'll have my pom poms ready!
Yes it will be guided because I am not too confident about going without getting lost or breaking a leg or something. I really want to go up in the funicular to experience it but it is cheating slightly so we shall see! Its a 90 minute walk to the summit after getting off the funicular so it would still be a decent walk.
I use MyFitnessPal and yesterday I had 1370 calories (my daily goal is 1380).
At the end of the day when you complete your diary it says 'If every day was like this day you would weigh xxxx in 5 weeks time'.
Well yesterday it said I would weigh 10 stone 13.5lbs. So that means if I just behave myself and stick to under 1500 calories each day, I CAN get this done
well done, I am in Isle of Skye. I hve to say if that cake were delivered to mine I defo would eat it and not stop till it was all gone, you must have so much will power, send some over please
