Hey! Welcome aboard! I've just rejoined today after a bit of a break and I've been reacquainting myself with what a lovely place it is to hang out. My advice? Read posts, and then read more posts, and then keep reading. There are so many people here with inspirational stories, and others (like me) who struggle a bit too stay focused sometimes. And it's the combination of everyone that means you can always find someone who understands what you're experiencing. Set yourself some short and longer-term goals, and get going. Good luck!
Well done for taking the step of joining and then posting too - those are both big steps, and I would like to welcome you to the Weight Loss NHS forum, and hope that you'll enjoy being part of this community. We have a Welcome Newbie post, which is in the Pinned posts area - see the top right-hand-side of the homepage and you'll see the Pinned posts. It's worth a read, and explains things that members like about the forum.
Also, look below the Pinned posts, and there's an Events section, where the link to the latest Monday group weigh-in can be found, so do have a look at that to see if it might be something you'd consider participating in. You'd be very welcome to join us.
There are also some great Challenges going on in the Pinnned posts, so lots to consider!
Most importantly, have a great week. I'd recommend the NHS 12 week plan as a good structure and many of us have lost weight using that plan.
I've just started too, Everyone seems very friendly and welcoming. I need to lose around the 4 stone mark so I'm in it for the long haul, lucky for me my husband is very supportive and is doing it with me. I don't care how long it takes I will get there. Best of luck
