Hi everyone! I just joined this forum this week as I thought it would be a great for some support while trying to lose weight!
I'm a sufferer of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and was diagnosed when I was 19 (I'm 25 now), so losing weight has always been a nightmare for me. It's something the GP's tend not to know a lot about so when I've brought up my weight loss issues with them in the past it's been brushed off as if maybe I'm just not trying hard enough and I don't look like I'm dreadfully overweight (even though I am...I just carry it well!).
I'm starting the 12 week plan, although I'm not recording my weight as I feel I can often get disheartened by the number on the scales, and so instead will focus on feeling healthy and how I feel in my clothes and inches lost (if I manage to lose any!). I've also just completed week 1 of the Couch to 5k (although I've been doing it in the house as I'm a touch low on the self confidence and don't fancy jogging outside just yet!).
I hope everyone's journey is going well and I can meet some new people on here!
