I'm new here. I have tried many crash diets but alas their effects only last a brief 3 weeks and then I'm back on the increase again. I've just found this site and I am interested to see if this slow 1lb-2lb a week works.

Hi catgibb. Its worked for me - I have lost 17lbs in 12 weeks. Mainly 1 - 2 lb a week. It has changed my eating habits, made me reassess portion control and curb my snacking. I hope to be able to maintain these habits when I have reached my goal weight by using the same methods. I hope you can find it works for you too. Great support and motivation on this site

Looking forward to seeing you out and about on the forum and wishing you all the very best
I've been losing about a pound a week (not quite this week) by weighing my food and counting the calories. I use an app called myfitnesspal to log it. I also do exercise as often as I can (try for 3 a week usually 4) that could be HIT workouts or pilates and I'm incorporating some yoga as I love the mental benefits.
I didn't think I'd lose anything but so far I've lose about 5 pounds and I'm keeping at it. This is a great forum for support, so welcome and you can do this!
