I suggest trying the nhs12 week plan but I don't think you can loose 4 stone in 3 months.

i have just started the nhs 12 week plan this week. i weighed 84.4kg= 13.3 stones. my future goal is arond 6stones but as i am going on holiday after 5 years i want to look slim and sexy. so maybe 3 to 4 stone to lose

How tall are you if your goal is to loose 6 stone I would talk to your GP that's way too much and probably not very realistic

Good luck with your goal but slow and steady is the way to go to keep it off

we are only virtual here - lots of people do more than one use this forum and go to a traditional slimming club WW or slimming world.

My advice to you is, what ever eating plan you choose it cant be something that you do for a short while it has to be a permanent change which is why the NHS 12 week plan is so successful as its a change of a way of eating.

As for BMI I am at the top of my range and it suits me so don't feel you have to get to the bottom I think mine is about 8 stone something!

You need to have a realistic goal so maybe a stone by Easter if you surpass it then great but by starving yourself and loosing loads of weight you will put it back eventually!

i am not straving i am using a great meal plan. basically i have seen the programme of "hairy biker's how to love food and lose weight." i am using their recipes they lost around 3 stones in 3 months the healthier way. cut out sugar and fat in most if their cooking that all

Hi Amz786,

I'd also recommend the NHS 12 week plan, and the link to the downloadable pages is here:

nhs.uk/Livewell/weight-loss...

Most people tend to lose the most weight in the first week, but after that first week it tends to lessen to about 1 to 2 pounds on average, although obviously that varies from person to person. I think therefore that you could lose some weight before your holiday in Easter, and that's a great goal to work towards, as it will hopefully inspire you to succeed.

If you like the idea of a group weigh-in, then why don't you join us for the Monday group weigh-in - I post it before 7am on Mondays, and there is also an Afternoon weigh-in session from 12.00 midday (or thereabouts) as well - so look out for either post, depending on your preference for a weigh-in. I know not everyone likes a 'weigh-in' but it can be quite motivating if you like the idea. So you're very welcome to join us, if you think it would motivate you.

Wishing you success with your weight loss journey, and hope you'll enjoy being part of this forum.

Hi Amz786,

The weigh-in is in this forum, so you can post to it from wherever you are in the World, as long as you can access the forum. The next session will be on Monday 25th January 2016 - there are 2 sessions, the Morning Session, posted just before 7am, and the Afternoon/Evening Session which is posted at midday or thereabouts.

It always has the same title 'Please Join Us for a Monday Group Weigh-in" and then the session time (i.e. Morning and/or Afternoon/Evening) and then current date in brackets, and I post it - my profile name is Lowcal. I notice that you've chosen to 'follow' me, so that means you'll be automatically notified of when I post it.

Here's a link to last Monday's thread, incase you want to have a read through to see the kinds of things people say in the threads.

Look forward to having you on board with us, and hope it will be motivating for you.

Welcome, I hope you you find lots of inspiration here, I know I haveπŸ˜€

But, wow, 4 stone before Easter?

That's a lot to ask of yourself. Why not make a goal of 4stone before new year? Then just enjoy the loss of dress sizes along the way?

I say this because I started 1/1/15 and to date have managed 32lb ( not through want of trying to lose more ) but ,I, like you have a large family and life is busy.

This is by no means an excuse but my family need me and I'm no good to them if I feel faint ( and quite frankly crap ) through hungerπŸ™„ Believe me I've been there!!

If you want to keep it off for good I'm afraid it's slow and steady that wins the race, plus there's less stretch marks and excess skin to make you feel yuck.

I've still got about another 2stone to lose, so like you about 4 in total, but I feel doing it slowly is the way to go long term.

I do hope you go enjoy your holiday❀️, regardless of the number on the scales and don't be to hard on yourself, you will get thereπŸ‘ 🌢

thanks a lot. i have lost 2 kg but still need to lose so maybe 4 is a big number but if i lose 3 or 2.5 stone i will be happy aswell. like you said its really hard. there is so much temptations around

Hi , that seems a lot of weight to lose in a short time. I'm aiming to lose 2lbs a week and to try to change my eating habits long term. I'm hoping that the scales show a loss tomorrow. Good luck.

Hi don't think about how much weight you have got lose and loosing 4st in 3 months is impossible unless you want to be proper poorly. In 3 months you body will have massively changed as it will be more toned and you clothes will feel better and you will feel confident and amazing and worth it
