Losing someone is never easy, and to lose a child must be harder still. My two are 27 and 26 and I still see them as my babies (much to their amusement).
You have joined an amazing group of caring people here. There is always a listening ear when you need it, and encouragement to help you achieve your goals.
Welcome to the family (I sound like someone out of the Godfather - Welcome to the Fambily)
HI- welcome to the forum- I have lost weight and i have not joined a gym (I have joined 3 gym's in the past and within 2-3 yrs they all went into receivership, so I feel I am not good for gyms!!!) So I do a mix of brisk walking, on my days off I take the scenic route to local supermarket, or walk into town which is 3.5m away. I also had several Wii fitness regimes gathering dust so been using them and the NHS has various exercise regimes both aerobic & strength which you can download/access. So its not necessary to join a gym but its whatever helps to keep you motivated to do the exercise.
Hi there and welcome, RG07 is absolutely right. Losing weight is about 80% what you eat and only 20% about how much you move. However, exercise is important to tone and maintain muscle mass. It also helps to allow you to eat a bit more! You certainly don't have to join the gym to get the exercise you need though. I do go to the gym as it works for me. Good luck with it. James
