Morning everyone. Well i made it through week 2 and it was a lot harder than week 1. I woke up this morning convinced that I had reversed all my hard work from last week. However, the scales stayed the same. So, no weight lost, but none gained. I will take this as a win and will see if I can improve in week 3.
Ta ta for now! ☺

I think part of my problem was that I had run out of ideas! I'm used to cooking high fat / high sugar / high calorie food. I had no idea how to cook healthy.
It does get easier! I started to think more about food. I think about what I used to cook and modify it to be healthy. So, for example pan fried chicken breast with cheddar cheese sauce and chips became oven baked chicken breast with garlic and herb Philadelphia light sauce (a spoonful in a pan with a slash of skimmed Milk - warm and stir!!!!) Served with huge piles of veggies!
Hi NiCherry, chicken with garlic and herb philly sounds nice. I will give it a go. I do find that I eat the same things every week, will have to hit the cookery books and find something new! 😃
There is a shop here called Home Bargains and I picked it up very cheaply from there . No I am not going to read the contents - just the calorie info - as I suspect they noxious and horrid but the stuff is great tasting lol.
They also have a very cheap veg section - I bought a huge swede for 35p, so I am going to make soup next week. I always wonder about buying a soup making machine. Bit lazy I know but I fancy the new Tefal one that will keep warm until you are ready to have your soup.
I keep looking at the soup makers because I do make a lot of soup in the colder months, I can't justify the cost and I just dont have the room in my kitchen cupboards for any more gadets, my next buy is going to be a slow cooker 😃
Have you got a halogen cooker Nicky? (Looks like a slow cooker but is a small oven operated by a halogen bulb.) They are fantastic and will save you a lot of money.
I have a breville health fryer that is halogen. I only use it for chips, but I do know other things can be cooked in it. Do you have any recipe ideas I could pinch?
Hey Portlandprincess. Even after only a couple of weeks, I do feel better in myself. I even wore a top today, that I haven't worn since last year 😃. I just need to learn from my mistakes and make small improvements each week!
It's so much easier if we decide this isn't a race to a final destination but a life changing choice....therefor hiccups are part of life and once in a while a good thing...cos it's part of our life's rich tapestry.....and slowly the waist and the scales change...it's fantastic!
