Just do it! You must have an idea in your head from the way your clothes fit. Maybe think of a worst case scenario, and imagine how you will react if that's what the scales say, so you're prepared to act on it, not just feel down about it. You've done the 12 week plan before, so you know what to do. Good luck :)

Don't be scared, you can do it! You've just got to have faith :) everyone has to start somewhere and you've got this! :)

You will feel so much better when you know the worst.💐

as someone above said, you probably have an idea anyway. My ideal would be to stop weighing myself... knowing from my clothes, the way they fit, the way I feel how I am doing.

Not sure it is good to let how we feel the whole day be ruled by a machine....and some numbers.... but it does give an indication.

Good Luck :)

If I don't weigh myself I just let it go and it pops on little by little it's finding what works for you I get on the scales at least 5 times a week if not daily, somtimes its up and sometimes it's down. At the moment I am 2lbs over my max target 😁

Hi Behappynow,

If you have taken the brave step of weighing yourself, then I hope it's gone ok. You don't need to share the result with anyone other than yourself, if you want to keep it private - it's a really personal thing to weigh or not to weigh, and whether to share or not. Very personal.

We have a regular Monday weigh-in group thread (which I post just before 7am on Mondays), but some contributors just come there for the group support, and don't necessarily share their weight loss or gain. But they are still always welcome.

Just do what works for you. If you'd like to join us, you'd be very welcome.

You mentioned that you did really well last time you did the NHS 12 week plan, so there's no reason that you can't do really well again - just go for it, and commit to it again, and then hopefully you'll soon be on your way to reducing your weight again, and feeling better for that. Weighing could be helpful in terms of recording your progress, but essentially you'll know how you're feeling from how your clothes feel. Taking measurements can also be helpful, as improvements don't always register on the scales.

Wishing you all the best with your weight-loss journey.

Hope your weekend is going well.

Lowcal :-)
