Well the SW curry was really tasty. I told my friends and one said she and a friend were about to go to SW classes. I then went on one of those orations about NHS health unlocked and we're now having a weighing evening and pooling the pounds (ha) ready for the Christmas dress shopping spree. oh and despite the three glasses of proseco I managed to stick to the plan. I'll just keep on keeping on......
Keep on keeping on.....: Well the SW... - Weight Loss Support
Keep on keeping on.....
Superb idea to have a weekly weigh in at home rather than spending £s at a group that is usually quite large in numbers. The more intimate support you and your friends can give each other will be so beneficial, and still pooling your money will give a nice healthy pot to spend on something fabby to wear. The bonus is a social evening every week that will boost your 'life is good' quota too. Enjoy your week hun 😊
Thanks shellie, just got back from a lovely walk up a very steep hill. Life feels good when the sun's shining!
Hi Portlandprincess,
I didn't respond to your post for a while, as for some reason I couldn't work out what 'SW' stood for, and now I realise what it is - Slimming World. I occasionally buy their magazines to get hold of some recipes, as they are usually really tasty and nutritious. I can imagine one of their curry recipes was good!
Great that you're pooling your pounds with your friends ready for the Christmas dress shopping spree - that's a really good idea!
Well done sticking to the plan, despite the 3 glasses of prosecco!
Lowcal
Fab idea, I bet you are looking forward to the new dress............it will be so worth it!
Hi low cal thank you for you support. I know I'm wasting my cals but chose proseco as is only 80 cals per glass. Never tempted to use a large glass....would with other wines.(best be safe) .....and it's lovely too....my waistline and weight issues are partially down to the drink. One step at a time, at least I didn't have a few pints of real ale!
Be glad of that, currently enjoying butter mint tea, lovely
I got a box of that buttermint tea yesterday, was it you who suggested it? Needed a break from the nasty fennel tea I've been having lately! It was tasty, as evident by the empty mug which I picked up expecting there to be more in it. Which never happens with fennel tea
Nsky24 likes the butter mint... I'm a berry or lemon and orange girl
"despite the three glasses of proseco I managed to stick to the plan"
That really IS such a credit to you - drinking can make it so easy to abandon our goals and eat what we want.
I am really impressed
Your determination really comes through, and your attitude is so positive, especially in the way you've totally managed to get your friends on board with you too. Careful with all the walking, and maybe have a break from the prosecco for now!
After the post about billy conoly, I've realised that it's raining and I haven't got good enough footwear. I'll be shopping today for appropriate clothing. Ha!
