I have had a reasonable week, I lost 1/2lb this week and am feeling very happy. I now have lost a total of 2 stone and 4 1/2lbs. Ive still got a long way to go but I keep telling myself that I didn't get fat quickly so why should I get slim again quickly and what would I learn if I did? Ive always had a strong relationship with food, even now the first thing I think about when I wake up after a visit to the bathroom is whats for breakfast!! That said I do lots of walking with my dogs and the weight is slowly coming off hopefully I will be at my target weight by next May when I am getting married again. I do feel slightly silly and very giddy about it all especially when I reveal that I am 63 years old and my fiancé is 73. But we are like a couple of teenagers together and thats all that matters isn't it?

Still keeping on keeping on
You're absolutely right, Dianne! My Grandpa has a "lady friend" as my Mom calls her. She says that at Grandpa's age (he's 85) it sounds too stupid to call her his girlfriend. But she's really nice and we're all glad he's happy. So no reason why you shouldn't be taking the plunge again.
Congratulations on your engagement and I'm sure you'll get where you're going!
Oh how romantic, Dianne! Love knows no barriers and I hope you'll both have lots of happy years together
Keep on keeping on
It is brilliant that you are getting married again, what a great goal to have!! You are right slow weight loss is best as you stand more chance of maintaining. Good luck

Dianne
That is absolutely fantastic. Keep on keeping on and you and that target weight will slowly but surely come into sight. I am 65 next month and still refuse to think of myself as 'old', I didn't even acknowledge middle age! I love Ed Sheeran and yesterday ran for 90 minutes (albeit slowly) and today walked 11 miles with my dog. Daisy 1925
