Go by your own scales because gym scales are used such a lot they go out of sink very quickly and aren't calabrated very often!! 1.5 off sounds more likely than 4 pounds on, you'd have to have over eaten by quite a lot to gain 4 lbs.
If you are only eating 1000 calories a day and going to the gym, you are not eating enough, 12-1400 calories is the least and you will have more energy.
Weigh yourself on your own scales at the same time, each week - it will come down, don't think though, the less you eat, the more weight you will lose, it doesn't seem to work like that.
Good luck
Hope your 1000 calories did not include a so called 'Energy drink' on way to gym. That unlikely event would have spiked your weight in many unpleasant ways.
Test your home scales by moving them around and getting on and off several times with and without holding a known weight. When you find a place where thet are consistent, always weigh your self there.
Hope that helps (I could gain or lose 5 lbs just by moving our old scales about!).
I would agree that if you are gymming then 1000 cals a day is insufficient. Try using an online calculator to work out your Total Daily Energy Expenditure. I think you'll find its somewhere between 1400 and 1500 even for fat loss.
Also don't weigh yourself twice a day. Its not going to help. If I weigh myself as soon as I get up before breakfast I will definitely weigh 2 to 3 pounds lighter than if I weigh myself after I have eaten and drunk anything.
Put 500ml of water in a jug and weigh it. Its just water but it has mass.
And try to stick to weighing yourself on just ONE set of scales. They will probably be inaccurate but they will at least be *consistently* inaccurate.
Great advise will stick to mine in the morning on Friday . X
