7 weeks in, a stone and a half lost and doing exercise that I have never done before and have felt really good. So why today do I feel so miserable and alone today and just want to cry. I couldn't even complete 30 minutes on my exercise bike, after 10 minutes had enough! Why do I feel like this? My sense of humour has disappeared!
Feeling miserable!: 7 weeks in, a stone... - Weight Loss Support
Feeling miserable!
Oh Candystripe. Life can get you like that sometimes. We can't always feel happy & upbeat. Just try to smile when you see people replying to you & we will try to cheer you up a bit.
Leave the bike today & have the day off - don't feel like you have let yourself down, we all need to take 'time out' now & again.
I usually feel worse when the weather is gloomy but try to keep busy doing other things like chatting on here or ringing a mate or cooking something (low fat of course).
Just think of how you felt 7 wks ago when you were carrying the extra weight - do some window shopping or treat yourself to something nice
Here for you
Jules
Oh Jules thank you so much and now I have a smile! You're right, forget the blooming bike and I think I might go for a walk to the mall. I was thinking of dinner for tonight, boring old pork chops and cabbage to keep the calories down but have looked online at some recipes and for the minimal amount of extra cals am going for it! It's usually sunny here most of the time but sometimes I just get a bit lonely (like one day a year) and today is it! Thank you, it's so good to talk. Will catch up with you later X
You go Girl! Its better for you anyway to have a walk than to sit on a bike going nowhere!
You deserve a stroll. (chops & cabbage aren't the answer sometimes)
Glad to have helped x
Why not have a skip' to your front door & down your drive & round the mall if you feel like it
I went Jules, but I didn't skip, I bounced! Feeling so much better after our chat and can't thank you enough. Don't know why I was so deflated earlier but since then have sat down by the river with the breeze in my hair, my Kindle and a bottle of water.....didn't even think about comfort eating thank goodness and avoided the ice cream stalls! Take care and thanks again and please keep in touch!
Glad to hear you had a good day x
Sounds like a tv ad - sitting by the river with the breeze blowing through your hair & bottle of water!
I've just been potttering about in back garden, getting all dirty with my tomatoes, cabbages, cucumbers, lettuces, beetroot, onions, spinich, Rhubarb & Jalapeno's. not quite as nice as relaxing by the river (you are such a lucky lady x
Speak soon
Actually that sounds idyllic pottering with your veggies and fruit. Strange the things you miss when you're abroad and a garden is one of them. At the moment we are in an apartment but looking around for somewhere with a garden to be more permanent. Okay we have the river and a lot going on but peace and tranquillity it's not! Maybe that's been my problem, I want a garden and you're the lucky one! Thanks again Jules X
Hello Candystripe, I had a similar day yesterday!! Have not lost as much as you, 11lbs but this week nothing (that happens to lots of people some weeks), but yestrday I felt low and lethargic , and the weather was gloomy ....I use myfitnesspal, if you can see what I wrote on there yesterday, I got fed up, abandoned my chores and went for a walk in a lovely park nearby. Im lucky to live in the Uk in a beautiful small city Bath, and whenever I feel low I try to take an hour outside and just appreciate fresh air and the surroundings. After that I felt better too snd kept within my calorie count for the day ( even with a couple of squares of chocolate) . SO GLAD YOUR WALK MADE YOU FEEL BETTER TOO
Morning Ellie. How I love Bath, what a wonderful place to live. You are so right about the fresh air and your surroundings, it just has to be done! I also laughed because I too finished off with two squares of chocolate, also within my calories. I was only going to have one square but it was in the fridge and two broke off. Well let's hope that today we are brighter for having felt so sorry for ourselves yesterday. Good luck and stay in touch, especially when you're feeling miserable!!!
Ha, yes its often impossible to break off just one square!! The sun is out again today, I hope it is where you are too! I run holiday accommodation from home (airbnb) and today I have a little family arriving from Denmark for a few days... so that should keep me upbeat. Have a good day you too
Yes the sun is shining here too. You must be keeping very busy at this time of the year with visitors but how lovely meeting new people and those who return year after year. Am back on track today thankfully and completed my half hour on the old exercise bike plus went out for a walk this morning. Some days just don't agree with you eh! Keep up the good work and keep smiling!
Thankyou, you too :0
