Feeling accomplished!

So yesterday I did day one of the couch to 5k, then spent two hours mowing a huge lawn full of weeds! ( not my house, renting whilst living abroad with hubbies job) . I thought I would be really aching today, I am sore but not as bad as I thought! So today I have done a YouTube exercise video and then done the food shop. Not a lot you might think but as I now no longer have my beloved car, and I cannot drive on the opposite side of the road( too scared to try yet!) I either have to wait for hubby or walk. Today I went in scorching heat armed with a large back pack and my carrier bags as I hate paying for them again! I did a weeks food shop and managed to get all the way back home with it without stopping to have a heart attack!! 😂😂 do any of you remember the TV advert with the lady sitting watching TV and her husband came back with knees buckling , pouring with sweat, fingers white with all the bags!! It was a snickers advert! Well that was me today! But I didn’t reward myself with a snicker!! Starting to feel more motivated now! Feel like I’m coming out the other end of a low patch and stopped feeling sorry for myself!! Time for a well earned cuppa and a book in this lovely sunshine! Have a great weekend everyone 😄🌞🌻

Thank you! Just have to keep it up!! I am going back home to visit my family in 7 weeks time and I’m hoping to be at least half a stone lighter by then!! 👍

So good to hear you are feeling more energised 😊. The first few days are the most difficult so very well done for getting of to such a flying start

Where are you living? Do you have local markets? Could you make walking to the shops a regular occurrence so you don’t have so much to carry, as well as increasing your exercise?

Hi Anna61, we are living in Slovenia, it’s absolutely beautiful and there are lots of places I can go for walks, there are also plenty of shops so I do try to get out each day and walk up to them even if I only browse and don’t buy! 😀

Sounds idyllic 😊. Daily walks are THE way to go in my opinion 😊
