Last Monday I weighed 14 stone 0.4 pounds, and today I weigh 13 stone 12. 8 pounds, so I've lost 1.6 pounds this week, and I am finally under the 14 stone mark (which is a personal goal for me!). I am very happy to have done that, and hope to be able to continue to lose till I get down to my target weight of 12 stone 7 pounds.
This week I managed to get my gym sessions up from one a week to two a week, and did a walk on the remaining days. I am going to set myself the challenge to continue with that exercise schedule, but I would like to add in some weight training 'resistance' type exercises too, to try to work on muscles and toning.
I hope that you've all had a good week, and I hope you'll join me for this Monday weigh-in to share your experiences.

Well done Lowcal, I am really pleased for you. Sounds like you had a really good week both healthy eating wise and fitness wise and it has paid off. You'll soon be at 13 stone!
I've put on another 2 lbs, so am now 15 st 4 lbs, 1 stone heavier than early December (it all started with my husband's chocolate birthday cake that I made LOL). We had to have our cat put to sleep on Thursday so I have been comfort eating. The physio has advised no walking and I will need 3 to 6 months of physio, so will be an interesting few months.
My goal is still 12 stone 7 lbs, and I will see how quickly (but sensibly) I can catch up with you! Feeling more positive this morning - and just had my bowl of porridge made with water, so I have started well. I would like to lose 4 lbs this week - a large number but normally the first part of the weight comes off quickly for me when I have only just put it on (again). However, I will be happy with any number that starts a downward trend.
You had such a stressful week last week with everything that was going on for you. Really sorry to hear about your cat as well, that is sad news.
It's good to hear you're holding onto your goals, and you are sounding positive about them, which is great. You've had a good morning so far, and I also enjoyed some porridge this morning (although I added unsweetened almond milk and a teaspoon of honey).
Hear's looking forward to a downward trend for us all, and hope you have a good week. Good luck with your physio exercises as well.
bispers I swear that reporting weekly keeps it down, although it may not seem like it now but you could easily have gained more, hopefully a better time this week porridge and water! if you can spare the calories add a small amount of low calorie fromage frais am willing you to be under 15 so good luck this week
Congratulations on your half pound down, that's great! Thanks also for your encouragement - I do feel motivated by having cracked that stone barrier, but feel a bit 'fragile' at the same time, as I know how easy it is to bob back above it again, so I need to keep focused to try to stay below it...
Well done I am finding it really hard to lose weight whilst training, when I think that when I am all the way round you will only be halfway there :0) hopefully the running has added a bit of muscle - well i can dream cant I!
Thanks Prin - I just feel so hungry all the time and I want carbs - loads of them. I am trying not to be despondent - because running right now is most important.
Well done on your weight loss,I know what a huge thing it is to get down into the next stone,it's physcologically stimulating,I need to lose another pound to get down into mine so I'm really going to put the effort in this week,I am like you trying to up my exercise levels, not just to boost my weightloss but it's making me feel a lot healthier as well, good luck this week and stay determined! X
I agree with you that exercising does help so much in helping to feel healthier and fitter, and I like the fact you used the words 'stay determined' because I think it is a matter of doing just that - trying to stay 'on track'.
Not long till you'll be breaking that stone barrier - so best of luck this week at losing another pound so you can celebrate it!
Well done lowcal, sounds like you are doing brilliantly so far. Keep up the good work. Have you got a non food reward for getting under the 14 stone mark? I have set myself some rewards for each half a stone and also for 10% of my weight. Even the first half a stone seems a long way off at the moment but hopefully I'll get there eventually!
Thanks for reminding me about the positives off having a non food reward - I hadn't thought about that, but decided to buy myself a new watch that I needed - and luckily got one in a sale for just £4.95 (a real bargain!).
Keep going in the right direction and your first half stone will soon be off! Hope you have a good week.
Welcome, and hope you have a really great first week. You've got your target weight to lose, and you are hoping to start straight away, so I really hope that you have had a good first day! I find that setting a small goal for each week, both in terms of how much I'd like to lose and how much exercise and healthy eating goals I am aiming for, and that helps me to try to keep on track.
Well deserved Lowcal I hope your downward trend continues, let us know what your treat is! I am 1/2 lb down yesterday but I am on thin Ice, pizza express last night -friends had vouchers that needed using up, weaterspoons Wednesday for family catch up, and pre theatre supper Saturday, needless to say maintenance would be good, hope you all have a good week!
Thanks for your encouraging words, and I bought a watch in a sale for £4.95 as my non food treat - and I am enjoying wearing it!
Congratulations on losing your half pound, and I hope that you enjoy your Weatherspoons meal tonight for your family catch up. Do you tend to pre-plan what kinds of things you'll allow yourself to eat on a night out, or do you decide at the time, or just go with the flow?
Thanks for the encouraging words, and hope you are having a great week yourself.

Hmm,.. I am now this morning with 87,4kg and 91cm waist... It is slowly creeping off, and I am not drinking cream anymore. But I miss it, I love the taste of single cream on my tongue.-
I didn't drink it always, it was my refuge when the hunger pangs in the evening turned up. And that happened quite often. I kept the discipline during the day and then in the evening all was lost!
Congratulations on your weight loss. A big change not to have cream anymore. I also like cream, and I tend to have the 'squirty cream' on my dessert so that I can enjoy the taste. But like you, I try to avoid runny cream, or only have it occasionally.
I've lost a little more of my Chrismas gain - now back down to 63.7kg which was my weight before December hit! I also managed to do my 10k run in under 56 minutes at the weekend, so I seem to making some progress there towards my goal of under 55 minutes. Hope you have a good week.
Wow, you've done so well to run the 10k in under 56 minutes, I am really impressed. It takes me about 40 minutes to run 5k and I find that tough going! You are very fast! Best of luck in achieving your goal of under 55 minutes, and also many congrats on losing your Christmas gain - you can look forward to losing more now, and I hope you have a great week.
Well done...my weight on mon was 8st 11 and ive lost 0.5lb...so im happy...been toning muscles up last week...bmi...now 25.78...im short in height so im still overweight ...
I like your 'username' it's very positive - and well done on your weight loss - it's really great. Your BMI is getting really close to the healthy range now, and that is great.
My morning's been ok so far thanks. You asked me how much weight I've lost - in January 2013 I was 15 stone 2.6 pounds, and today (Wednesday) I am 13 stone 13.2 pounds, so I've lost 1 stone 3.4 pounds since then. However, about 7 years ago, I used to weigh about 18 stone 7 pounds, so I was a lot heavier back then!
I have just calculated my BMI using the 'new BMI calculator' (you can google it), which was adapted from the original BMI by Nick Hale, and used that as I am tall (6 feet 1 inch), and my 'new BMI' is 24.56
My goal weight is 12 stone 7 pounds. But right now, I am just extremely happy to have come below 14 stone, as that is a good feeling!
I am a shortie at 169 and mine is 24.14 old and new thats on todays weight of 10st 12lb, I had a bit of a shock at first forgot to move the selector from kg to lbs and ended up with a BMI of 53!
