Hi there we all have good and bad days and it all just depends on how you treat it -don't give up!!!set your mind on why you want to loose weight (like that ad says what will you gain when you loose). Few words of advice...don't keep any bad food at home just dont buy it full stop...I had a bad day yesterday ended up eating lots of biscuits at work and felt really guilty so went for a quick gym session after work!!!!your body is only craving bad stuff because it is a habit and it takes whole 21 days to develop new habits so persevere another thing to add is keeping yourself busy with non food related things for example going to see friends going for a walk gym class or pampering yourself at home!!!!but if you don't know why you want to loose and you are not set in stone on it nothing else will work good luck with your journey and remembered all of this is a temporary struggle but it will be worth it at the end!!!!!
Everyone goes through times like this and I'm exactly the same at the moment; it was my birthday at the beginning of the week and my hubby got me a cake and every day since then I've just gone nuts eating loads of cake and then chocolate when the cake ran out! I've resolved that it will NOT happen again today so I've got lots of healthy snacks and I heard that a small amount of nuts are really good for cravings especially at the normal 3pm slump so I'm going to walk into town on my lunch break (a good 15 minute walk so good exercise!) and get some nuts from a health food shop where there aren't any sweeties to tempt me! I've also got plans to tidy the house when I get home from work to keep me occupied and away from the bad things!
Sugar is addictive so if we stick with it after a few days we won't crave it anywhere near as much and it'll all seem that little bit easier.
Do you have any pictures of yourself that you really don't like because you think they're unflattering? It would be good to get those out and stick them on the fridge / cupboards to remind you why you're doing this everytime you start to reach for something bad. Like motivated says try and keep yourself occupied so you don't find you're eating out of boredom.
Good luck
Yes, it's true, the sugar addiction can be broken, like any other addiction. I find it helpful to think of what was the state of affairs in my childhood. Sugar was rationed! I don't remember the amount weekly per person, I wasn't doing the shopping and cooking then, but I do remember sweets being rationed. 4 ounces a week, and at one stage it went down to 3 ounces. People will eat that amount now and not even notice it - it's just a mouthful. I've got over the stage now, but at one point I found it helpful to remember walking 2 miles on a Saturday to the sweet-shop in the next village, the time and effort to choose the sweets that would last me the week until the next ration was allowed!
Any addiction can be broken. Just do not have any sweets in the house or within easy reach.
Nowadays I don't eat any of the sweet tempting things on offer. Walk into Tesco and you have an array of sweet tempting things in your face. I can walk straight past them. The only thing I do - occasionally - is have a slice of home-made fruit cake when we go to the RSPB site at Rainham Marshes. The volunteers there make the cakes and their slogan is 'Eat cake - help wildlife!' Well, yes, but very occasionally.
