We are TTC and I did some reading and understand that inositol May be helpful to make highly irregular (60day cycles) periods regular and aid in conception.
I have started taking pregnacare before conception but this only has 50mg but advice mentions taking 4000mg so was thinking of adding further pure inositol to increase the amount I am taking?
Backfround: I haven’t been diagnosed PCOS due to coronavirus reducing services available but the doctors suspect it, I believe due to the irregularities in my cycle , a history of hormonal acne, and continuous sugar/carb cravings (I understand from reading May be a symptom I never realised). I have a BMI on c. 20 and eat a healthy diet - but am looking to reduce high GI foods.
Really look forward to any advice you can share
TIA

Hi. I take a Myo inositol and d chiro inositol blend. Unfortunately I can't answer to the period side of things as I'm also on a proeatrogen only pill ( I have no idea if this helps or hinders pcos ). I have been taking it since about January and although I haven't had any physical changes the improvement in energy levels and mood was enough to keep me on it, so I'd personally say it's worth a try. With the diet side it might be worth looking at the 30day pcos challenge done by a lady called kym campbell which I found extremely helpful as she not only tells you what food to eat/avoid but also explains why. Sorry I can't be of more help. Hopefully someone else might have a bit more insight to give you. Best of luck
I also 100% reccomend the 30 day challenge. Its started on the 22nd may so I dont no when the next one will be. But you get meal plans and shopping lists. Its definitely worth a try.
