That is OK for the Very Fast 800 phase of Fast 800 I dropped over 30Kg on the programme and dropping more slowly on the second, 5:2 stage,
Yeah I’ll move to they after two weeks thanks
You may find it easy to stay on the 800 stage. In any event, my partner who ate what I did at weekends lost at half the rate I did, doing 5:2 by default. In any event, Fast 800 is about changing your eating habits to the Mediterranean way of eating, and that is a long haul thing, not a "lose weight quick" diet.
Just a quick question, once ive got to my target weight should I then move on to the 5:2?
It is explained in the book, which you need to read and understand to benefit fully from the Fast 800 perspective. The purpose of Fast 800 is to get people to transform their eating pattern to a "Mediterranean style" one.
The path to that way of eating may include the "Very Fast 800" stage, a 5:2 stage , with those leading to a "Mediterranean style" permanent way of eating. This transformation may include weight loss if the first two stages are followed. If you have a target weight, and you reach that in the Very Fast 800 stage then you can go straight to maintenance without passing 5:2 . You can use Very Fast 800 and/or 5:2 to rein in any big weight swings when on maintenance.
An adjunct to this diet transformation is the inclusion of Time Restricted Eating. The benefits of this, including the induction of autophagy, is also explained in the book. It is suggested that 12:12 TRE is used in the first stage with 16:8 and or/other combinations being used in the second and maintenance stage.
