Does anyone have any good tips to help lose weight with PCOS. I’m thinking of trying a different contraceptive, I’ve got the implant at the moment, but my Endo and PCOS have made it virtually impossible to lose weight 😓
Any tips greatly appreciated 💜💛

I know exactly how you feel, I have PCOS and to loose weight I felt was near on impossible, to put weight on was easy peasy!
The doctor prescribed me metformin twice a day which helped a lot along side healthy eating, I lost 2 1/2 stone and then got pregnant naturally! While I was pregnant I felt the best I had felt in years, great skin great hair nails, great mood I lost more weight too without trying, pretty sure was something to do with hormones, as soon as I give birth the hormones went all over the place again and I am know 3 stone heavier than when I got pregnant 3 years ago! All the PCOS symptoms came flooding back!! So I am now back on metformin and the weights slowly coming off again. I’m healthy eating also but it just seems to suppress my appetite, I’m not sure if it’s psychological but it’s has worked for me,
PCOS really is a pain but I know when I lost weight, the symptoms of it virtually disappeared, and I know when I have put the weight back on, they symptoms have come back, oily spotty skin, male hair pattern, useless nails, dry hair, very low moods etc .
There's a lot of info online about it helping PCOS and I've found it very successful to lose weight although I've struggled with being overweight pretty much all my life!!
I’m vegetarian and struggle to get a lot of protein unless I really focus and plan what I’m going to eat! I switched my diet to low carb, high protein and higher fats and it really worked.
It is a b@&:h to lose weight with PCOS but it’s doable. Good luck lovely x
I’d say try myo-inositol which is a vitamin that is like a natural metformin but research first. I took 4g. Also those with PCOS need far less calories than normal anyway to maintain. I read it was about 600 less, my diet was around 1300 per day, low carb, try looking at a low GI diet. No alcohol and exercise classes 3 times a week. I always made sure I got my 10,000 steps daily also. My periods when I came off the pill were every 6 weeks - 3 months, I kept at it. I’m now at a good weight and I’m 9 weeks pregnant, still 5 lbs less than when I started
