So I’m just diagnosed have Jsut started spironolactone and metformin along with high dosage of many vitamins etc due to severe deficiencies. I went in holiday so GP gave northisterone even tho knew I had PCOS.

I now am on my period first day and never had pain like it. Never normally get cramps anyways but my pelvic area is horrendous stabbing and cramping and could burst like pressure and it’s swollen.

My flanks and back back feel like been hit by a bus. I can’t take Codeine and ibuprofen and paracetamol not doing anything.

WhAt do I do?

Sorry you're in so much pain. If it's not the norm then ring GP for advice & maybe a visit to a & e if it's that intense.

My daughter uses Mefanamic acid as an effective pain reliever although it's an NSAID as is ibuprofen. You'd need to be assessed by GP for suitability.

Metformin also has pain relieving properties.

Thank you turns out it was very large clots causing my Kain after passed massive relief no pain at all Jsut muscles which is more than bare able. Never having it again tho will deal with the period for the sake of a few days.
