I have been by cutting down on sugar and carbs generally. I go for wholemeal instead of white bread and pasta. I was advised to stick to low GI and do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. It's not easy or fast, but it is working. I struggle as I have a decent diet normally, and metformin hasn't given any weight loss that some people get, seeing results as slow as they are isn't very motivating but sticking with it does work.

Hi,

I really struggle too to lose weight. Exercising, good diet, still gaining or not losing and I didn't know why. I've recently went onto the Keto Diet and I've lost 6lb in a week. I also really struggled with persistent bloating (from waking until sleeping) and that has dramatically reduced. It still pops up during the day now and again but my stomach has not been this flat in about 6 months.
