I have PCOS (diagnosed 3 years ago) I have recently stopped taking my contraceptive pill due to side effects.
I have been prescribed lymecyline for my acne. I have been showing symptoms of insulin resistance such as darkened skin around groin, skin tags, weight loss issues especially around my middle. I have had a fasted blood test but the results have come back normal. Has anyone else experienced this?
Also I haven't had a period since stopping my pill in March 19

They will say they don’t do glucose tolerance tests as the Hb one will show the spikes but they do still do it but it’s more expensive so ask for a glucose tolerance test - good luck
As long as you have 4 periods a year it’s fine so ask for provera to force a period if you get to the three month mark - don’t let them fob you off that you are lucky not having periods!
