Diagnosis

Hi,

I got diagnosed with pcos 18 months ago after going into hospital and being admitted with suspected appendicitis.. I was in hospital for 3 days and never spoke to anyone there about my pcos.

I have a follow up with my dr who took bloods and gave me some info on it but never had any other follow up with consultants.

I then got a letter from hospital saying I had a specific consultant that wanted to see me regarding pcos wanting to talk about treatments and further tests, what could this mean? I never got to the appointment as I was moving at the time.

I suffer a lot with migraines, was put on the pill and that completely stopped my periods, I suffer with a lot of pelvic pain and painful periods, and I'm extremely tired around my period but physically cannot sleep because the period pain is so bad..

Please can some one put my mind at ease

It is quite common to have both pcos and endometriosis and pain generally is associated with endo rather than pcos, I would follow up with an endocrinologist further, there is an endo forum on here too so ladies there may be able to help further.

PCOS can have increased risks of heart disease and diabetes so is worth following it up.

Thank you, off yo doctors tomorrow so hopefully get somewhere with some answers!!
