I haven't had an ultrasound scan on my ovaries for quite a while now (over 6 years ago) and I'm wondering if I request a scan from my GP that they'll let me have one? The reason is I keep getting lower back pain and if I lie in certain positions my back freezes up and I can't move until it eases.

I just want peace of mind that everything is ok in there!

The cysts are only a symptom of pcos and not the cause and can come and go so I personally wouldn't get another scan because if you don't have cysts they will say that you don't have pcos as sadly they still think it is the cysts that cause the condition (name is misleading which doesn't help)

Lower back issues often relate to posture (I have the same issue), look a doing pilate exercises specifically for the lower back and see how it goes. I would go back to the GP and mention your lower back anyway.

I did research and most medical websites say we have a increased risk for cancer. I would get checked out just because you want to keep on top of your health.
