Hi, I've recently been diagnosed with PCOS (im 23 years old) and am wondering if there's a contraceptive pill that people have found works best if you have PCOS as well as managing acne? I'm worried about the pill contributing to weight gain and making my bowel issues worse. I would really appreciate anyone's advice or experience of taking the pill. Thank you!

Best hormonal contraceptive pill?

Hi, I’m on Rigevidon (the combined pill). I believe it works for me as it gives me a balance of both hormones. It does reduce my acne but on the week break from the pill I do break out. It was trial and error and everybody is different. As I was put on the mini pill but that made me constantly have a period for 3 weeks. I also have less headaches on the pill I’m on. Personally for me I don’t struggle with my weight but found that the pill didn’t add any weight either. Hope this helps. I was put on Yasmin at one point and that made me have terrible mood swings and depressed. Felt a new person after stopping it! Hope this helps, I am 28 and was diagnosed when I was 23 ☺️
