no period for over year..

Hi guys! I'm 17 years old and I haven't had my period for over a year now. I recently went to my doctor and he believes its PCOS but didn't go into to much detail about the condition. I was just wondering if any of you could give some advise or sum up what it is for me? I also don't have a healthy BMI so if any of you have weight loss tips that would be greatly appreciated too.

thanks, Caitlyn.

start eating right foods at right times of the day.Dont starve to lose weight ,eat right to lose weight. There are foods that improves insulin sensitivity like the bitter guard ,almonds, take magnesium supplements, drink green tea, omega 3 fatty acids and exercise regularly. start with a low intensity exercise-walking 45 minutes a day slowly increase to high intensity exercises.Important thing here is to exercise regularly even if its 45 minutes low intensity exercise may be even using a jump rope at home.Stop eating junk.

Rule:1 dont give up on exercise for any body and stop eating junk.4 healthy meals a day no junk in between. No matter what.Be selfish about the exercise and eating part.

Rule2:Never ever go against rule 1

Hey I'm 18 and have stage 4 endometriosis and pcos. I haven't had a period for over a year yet blood tests say I'm still ovulating so they're a bit confused about what's pcos and what endo doing to my body. I've started the gi diet which is basically cutting down on carbs- Google it! It's the only diet I've found that works for me but it's hard to stick to when you're in pain constantly and just want to stuff your face aha. My bmi is slightly over average but I'm not too fused about it since I don't actually look fat, it's just my giant boobs. I know how crappy it is to be told "oh your bmi is overweight" especially when you're a teenager! If I was you I would demand to have blood tests to see how your body is still working and go from there. There are lots of different medication to help!

Hope this helps you slightly, I feel like I've just rambled on. Wish you all the best and a merry Christmas xx
